Bradley Pond is a private pond teeming with wild (never been stocked) brook trout. Caddis and Mayfly imitations work great; favorite flies include: John's Hoppers, Muddlers, Hare's Ears,
Hornbergs, Woolly Buggers, and the Warden's Worry. Trout are seen rising right in front of camp! Other remote ponds in the area also offer excellent fishing.
Small stream fishing is exciting with trout responding to: dry flies, small nymphs, and of course "garden hackle".
Good fishing for salmon and trout is nearby on the famous West Branch of the Penobscot River. You can fish the West Branch downstream starting at the uncrowded Seboomook Dam, see Gazetteer Map 49. Big water fishing on Moosehead Lake is only 12 miles from camp. Nearby Lobster Lake also offers excellent fishing.
Explore remote fishing holes to the north. Check out Maps 54 and 55: Baker Lake (Muskellunge "Muskie" and Trout), Saint John River, and the famous Allagash region! We highly recommend a guided fishing trip to Eagle Lake.
We offer free fly casting and fly tying instruction. We provide fishing equipment and canoes on Bradley Pond upon request.
